Fees, Investment and Insurance Information for mental health counseling, energy work, and Trauma and Tension Release Exercises (TRE)®

Below you can find information regarding session fees for services as well as how insurance is handled in my practice.  Please note payment can be made through the client portal as well as via Venmo.

Investment for mental health and healing Services

• Hourly base rate for Mental Health Counseling is $165 for 55 minute sessions.

• For EMDR reprocessing sessions, the base rate is $225 for 90 minute sessions.

• I do not offer couples or family counseling. 

• Reiki Services and TRE Sessions (Trauma Tension Release Exercises) are $150 for a 55 minute session.

• I am unable to bill insurance for Reiki or TRE sessions at this time.

• Payment for energy work or TRE Sessions must be made via Venmo or with cash.

• Gift Certificates are available for Energy Work Sessions and are $150 due at time of purchase.

INSURANCE & Self Pay Information for Mental Health Counseling

I am an in network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wyoming (LPC 1947) and Colorado (LPC 0018670).  Even though I am in network, it is important that you reach out to your insurance company to find out more information about your benefits.  Here are some questions that may be helpful for you to ask them: 

• Do I have a deductible?  If so, what is it and have I met it yet? 

• If you have not met your deductible, you will owe full fee per session until you meet your deductible

• Once I have met my deductible, how much will I owe per session?

• Does my health insurance plan include mental health (psychotherapy) benefits?

I am considered an Out-Of-Network (OON) provider with other insurance companies. Although you will pay the full fee at the time of service, I can provide you with a billing statement for services rendered so you may file an OON provider claim to obtain reimbursement. 

• As an OON provider I am not aware of how much you will be reimbursed by your insurance carrier.  If you wish to pursue this option, I recommend contacting your insurance provider and asking the following questions to determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health (psychotherapy) benefits?

  • Do I have Out-Of-Network mental health benefits? 

  • Is any pre-approval required before obtaining Out-Of-Network mental health services?

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  • If I have out-of-network mental health benefits, will I be reimbursed the full amount I paid or a portion?

METHODS OF PAYMENT for Therapy & energy work

I accept payments via Venmo, Credit/Debit Cards, and cash for mental health services and accept payments via cash or Venmo for energy work and TRE Sessions.
All payments are due at the time of service.
